WILLIAM T. GRIFFIN PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE: My interest is to locate an interesting opportunity, to utilize my varied and extensive skills and experiences. To find an organization with whom I can continue to grow, who needs and who would greatly benefit by acquiring a multi-skilled manager, team player, leader and developer, with many years of entrepreneurial and administrative skills and experiences. LATEST PROJECTS AND ENDEAVORS: Will Griffin Fire Group – (2005 to Current) Semi-retired in 2005, after selling businesses and relocating back to the greater Pittsburgh, PA area from Nashville, TN. Acquired, developed, published and manage VFD-Funding.com, Municipal-Funding.com and many other web sites, to assist fire/EMS departments and communities in obtaining the financing necessary to acquire apparatus, equipment, training, schools and infrastructure projects. Selling fire apparatus, ambulances, and equipment on-line, while obtaining financing through grants, low-interest loans, tax exempt leasing agreements and other sources. Venture has grown to forty-five (45) top search engine ranking web sites in three (3) separate sub-clusters of VFD-Funding Group, VFD-Fire Group, and VFD-EMS Group. Expanded web sites and search engine rankings for the entire group, after moving to Daytona Beach, FL area in July 2007, to enjoy more of a retirement environment. Business and all web sites are currently for sale, to enable me to pursue other interests. Tropical-Fish/Pets Group – (2005 to Current). Created multiple web sites, to become the hub for my on-line tropical-fish and pre-existing pets cluster of web sites, which currently include: The tropical-fish/pets group consists of twenty-five (25) on-line aquarium pet shops selling the full range of aquarium supplies and both freshwater and saltwater/marine tropical fish. This expanded to seven (7) on-line pet shops with the full range of pet products (including dog, cat, bird and other pet supplies) with the acquisition of Pet-Shops.biz. Griffin-Music - (2005 to Current) Performing the National Anthem at sporting and racing events and other personal appearances/performances around the USA. . Creating publishing demos of songs written over a 30 year period, while also continuing to write and record new material. With a total of twenty (20) web sites in this cluster, developed three (3) full-line music stores selling many type and price ranges of musical instrument and gear necessary to equip beginning and accomplished professional musicians. Also developing on-line music courses, for general music theory and specific instruments such as guitar, piano, and the harmonica. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Will Griffin E-commerce – (2005 to Current) After enjoying a full thirty (30) days of retirement, initiated and expanded various web sites and e-commerce endeavors in the form of Will Griffin Fire for fire truck sales and financing, Aquarium-Club.com to sell aquarium and pet supplies on-line, and Griffin-Music to sell musical instruments on-line, while also providing information and educational resources for musicians and music students. (See Latest Projects) International-Staffing.com – (May, 2001 -2004), purchased the remaining interest in international recruiting interest from Intellectual-Assets Inc. of Atlanta, GA. Also obtained other web sites to use these sites to supplement and expand the recruiting of the Griffin Group for senior administrative, technical and technical management staff. Developed many strategic alliances with high quality and high profile staffing companies. Company was sold in 2004. Desktop-Radio Group – (June, 2000 – 2004), as the owner of the domain name & web site, using pragmatic business practices and proprietary methodologies; developed and marketed this on-line premier radio stations guide. Added many features and functions, including artist information, local scene news and a shopping mall with over 200 merchant affiliates. Sites prospered, even in their infancy, albeit many other dot-com companies, well staffed and financed with millions of dollars of investment capital, have gone bankrupt in a shake up/shake out economic environment. Desktop-radio ranked in the top five (5) for most of the major search engines. Performed all functions to birth Desktop-radio, from conception, coding, identifying and engaging affiliates and strategic alliances, customer service, and all marketing. This site, as of December, 2000 was receiving over 50,000 hits a month. In May, 2001, after migrating to our own web hosting server to increase our capacities, added international-radio.net and independent-artists.com (.net) to the music/radio/entertainment cluster for synergy and additional market share. In July, 2001 added radio-broadcasts.com to the cluster of sites associated with Desktop-radio and began entering into many strategic alliances for marketing, content, and technical support. Web sites were sold in 2004. Intellectual-Assets.com, Inc. (2000-2004) As the senior administrative consultant and partner, eventually acquired entire company, which developed and designed business plans, drafted all legal contracts, created marketing materials, secured thousands of top level generic domain names inventory, assisted in the development & testing of new products/services, and tested proprietary methodologies for this Atlanta, Georgia corporation. Skills usage of focus included: management, analysis, legal industry expertise, e-commerce, marketing, research, html and Java programming, MS Office programming, teaching & training, and a heavy emphasis on a wide range of oral & writing skills. E-commerce client industries for this company included: finance, mortgage, real estate, legal, political, food & beverage, tropical-fish/pets, and entertainment. Business was sold December, 2004. Professional Volunteer Gore-Lieberman 2000: Provided information and assistance to the research, on-line campaign, and volunteer coordination departments for the national headquarters of the presidential campaign in Nashville, with both physical and on-line participations. Related, but separately, performed testing and other critique for the online campaign management, including fundraising, software package of Phil Noble's Politics On-Line practice that became the standard in political campaigns from President of the United States to city counsel races. Griffin Group of Nashville, Tennessee (1994 – 2004) Business was formed to continue client services and to serve as a blind trust, per my then written notice of a potential President William J. Clinton appointment and to provide a structure for associates to continue to serve clients. The Griffin Group served clients with their IT needs, from installations to disaster recovery planning. The Griffin Group continues to provide the highest caliber of professional services to their clients and strategic alliances. Legal Administrator for Attorney Dennis L. Tomlin & Associates, Nashville, TN (1990-1993). Responsibilities: computer and data processing; database management; assemblage and editing of a wide range of legal documents (Motions, Briefs, Pleadings & Applications) and support documents for court and regulatory filings; adding medical and related archival research. Administrative Consultant and Business Analyst, Nashville, TN and Daytona Beach, FL (1983 to Current) - As a subcontracting consultant, served accounts throughout the Eastern United States in varied capacities including: general administration, human resource management, funding, marketing & sales, computer analysis & programming, management in response to regulatory compliance, staff development & training, legislative lobbyist, political campaigns and general entrepreneurial consulting. 1986-1990 - Administrative & computer assignments Nashville Micro, Inc. with many as "full life cycle", with hardware and software installation extending to custom application (programming). 1985-1986 – Lobbied and provided other technical support to the Tennessee General Assembly in the enactment of the changes in the TCA to adopt the new Sentencing Guidelines. 1983 - Developed a pre-vocational job readiness curriculum at Crockett Academy (Nashville-1983) for SED, behavior disordered and/or academic deficient adolescents under grant by the Tennessee Department of Education. Special Magistrate/Pilot Program Administrator (1980 – 1983) - Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, with full responsibilities and authority designed, developed and implemented an alternative sentencing program using existing laws, new Rulings precedents and new probationer management practices, which reduced recidivism (repeat rate) with a standardized District Court manual developed, approved and implemented to become general practice. Due to success and prevention/intervention value, juveniles, inclusive truancy, were added to program participation. Program developed Pennsylvania Alternative Sentencing Law, 1982. I also consulted and lobbied the legislature for the Guilty But Mentally Ill Law in Pennsylvania, 1982. Director of Educational and Social Welfare Programs (1976 – 1980) - for two (2) suburban Salvation Army Community Corps centers in Tarentum & New Kensington, Pennsylvania during the decline of the Steel Industry. Initiated GED & vocational training programs, job banks, food pantries, crisis counseling centers, and inter-agencies referral networks. Intake and case management staff included Counselor-Education Department externs from the University of Pittsburgh. Fund raising through public campaigns and Federal & State grants.
